From Boardrooms to the Himalayas: My Leap into Solopreneurship

2020 during Covid, I traded skyscrapers for sunsets. Leaving behind a decade-long corporate career to embrace a solopreneurial life in Dharamshala was the boldest decision I’ve made – and the most rewarding.

Leaving behind the predictable rhythm of corporate banking wasn’t easy – but it was necessary. I didn’t leave because I was burnt out; I left because I was ready for something that felt more me. In the quiet chaos of the mountains, I launched two businesses: Pookie Beauty, my love letter to minimalist skincare, and At Ghar, a soulful boutique stay in the Himalayas.

What I’ve learned? Freedom thrives where passion and structure meet. There’s room to dream, but also to execute. This blog is my attempt to share the learnings – not the polished version, but the real, messy, beautiful journey of building something your soul can be proud of.
